A Journey to Saif-ul-Malook

A Journey to Saif-ul-Malook

The train slowly rolled into Islamabad Railway Station just as the first rays of dawn painted the sky with shades of gold and pink. Aiza stepped onto the platform, adjusting her shawl as a cool morning breeze brushed against her face. Beside her, Saif carried their luggage, his eyes sparkling with excitement.

Their long-awaited journey to Saif-ul-Malook had finally begun.

After a quick breakfast at a small café near the station, they hired a car and set off towards the majestic Kaghan Valley. As the city disappeared behind them, winding roads welcomed them into a world of breathtaking beauty.

The journey itself felt like a dream.

Towering mountains stood proudly against the horizon, their peaks kissed by clouds. Crystal-clear streams raced alongside the road, their water sparkling under the morning sun. Every turn revealed a new masterpiece of nature—lush green meadows, cascading waterfalls, and forests of pine trees stretching endlessly across the hillsides.

Aiza lowered the car window, letting the fresh mountain air fill her lungs.

"This feels unreal," she whispered, her eyes fixed on the magnificent scenery.

Saif smiled as he watched her admiration.

"The best is yet to come."

As they continued deeper into the valley, small wooden houses appeared among the mountains. Shepherds guided their flocks across emerald fields while children waved cheerfully from roadside villages. The distant sound of flowing rivers blended beautifully with the rustling pine trees.

Hours passed, yet neither of them grew tired of the enchanting views.

By evening, they finally reached their hotel nestled among the mountains of Kaghan. The building overlooked a rushing river whose waters reflected the golden colors of sunset.

After checking into their room, they stepped inside and paused for a moment.

Large windows framed the mountains like a living painting. The room was warm and cozy, offering a welcome refuge after the long journey.

Aiza sank into the soft bed with a contented sigh.

"I didn't realize how tired I was."

Saif laughed softly and placed their bags near the wardrobe.

"We should rest before dinner."

The gentle sound of the river outside soon lulled them into a peaceful rest. For a while, the world seemed to stand still.

Later that night, refreshed and relaxed, they made their way to the hotel's restaurant. The aroma of freshly cooked food filled the air.

They enjoyed a simple yet delicious dinner—steaming chicken karahi, freshly baked naan, and hot cups of tea. Through the restaurant's glass windows, they watched darkness settle over the mountains while tiny lights twinkled in the distant villages.

Tomorrow would bring the final leg of their journey to the legendary Lake Saif-ul-Malook.

But for tonight, surrounded by mountains, river songs, and the promise of adventure, they were exactly where they wanted to be.
